You hustled enough. Breathe, it's time to relax.
You grew up in a single mother household. Watching your mother speak broken English, be belittled by others for not understanding the language, and always breaking her back to make sure you at least had a comfortable life, sparked this huge desire in you to make sure you become successful so that you can allow her to live the life she did not get to have.
As you embarked on your journey to success, you took a moment and whispered to yourself:
HOOYO (MUM) I'M GOING TO MAKE YOU PROUD, JUST YOU WAIT!
And thus it began, your hustle to get a good education, go to a good university, get a good job, work at a job, save money, and show your mum you did it!
- Not realising you now became the provider, protector and the absent father of the household.
- Not realising how truly burnt out and tired you feel
- Not realising how you've been unable to truly relax or say your true feelings in case it causes a commotion.
